Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar has countless uses that you probably haven’t imagined. Everything from cleaning your home, remedying what ails you internally and externally, to tasty and delicious recipes.
1. Reboot Your Liver
Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water first thing in the morning to unleash the vinegar’s liver cleansing effect.
2. Soften Your Laundry
Use 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar in your wash to help soften your clothes.
3. Do Away With Dandruff
You can help reduce dandruff by diluting two parts water to one part apple cider vinegar and use it to rinse your hair and scalp. Your hair will be shiny and flake free.
4. De-Stink Your Hands
If you peeled garlic or washed fish, your hands may be smelly. Get rid of those strong odours by pouring a tablespoon on your hands as you wash them with some water.
5. Fight off Fruit Flies
Get rid of annoying fruit flies by pouring some apple cider vinegar into a plastic container, punch a few holes, and leave it on your kitchen counter (or wherever fruit flies hang around). The smell will attract the flies and they will drown in the vinegar.
6. Soothe a Sunburn
Relieve sun scorched skin by adding a cup of apple cider vinegar to your bath and soak your skin for at least 10 minutes.
7. Clean Almost Anything!
Apple cider vinegar is probably one of the best and non-toxic all purpose cleaner. The antibacterial properties in apple cider vinegar make for a great natural disinfectant. Just mix ½ cup apple cider vinegar with 1 cup water in a spray bottle. Clean countertops, floors, stoves, refrigerators, sinks and bathtubs.
“’Whenever we go to India we always have friends asking us to do a divo or get a Tandorasti said, so we thought it would be nice to make a regular system for Zoroastrians from all over the world to get their requests performed,’ explain Houston born Dinsha Mistree and Denver born Benafsha Shroff whose online portal ‘Agiary Connect’ has been fully operational since Jamshedi Navroz this year,” reports Parsiana magazine of India.
Agiary Connect is very simple to use. The interested person visits www.agiaryconnect.com and sets up an account using an email address, which allows the webmaster to verify that the request is coming from a genuine person. The verification is handled within 24 hours, after which the interested person can request any of the following 8 service: Divo, Farishta, Jashan, Mukhtad, Sukkar, Tan-da-rosti, Vendidad and Yajashne and make payment by Paypal. You may visit the website for more details.
“The services offered on this website are not a substitute for attending ceremonies in person. Instead (they) … are the next best thing,” reminds the website, adding: “All the experts and priests have confirmed positively: in Zoroastrianism, it is believed that rituals and prayers can help even if you are not physically there to witness them being carried out.” elaborates Parsiana.
